7th day of July 2007 seemed to be an ordinary day. But Joanna R. – a woman from Dabrowa Gornicza (Poland) will never forget the incident that took place at that night. Driving her way home the woman noticed some bluish light emerging from the cloud cover… Soon she realized that it was a bluish object of unknown origin that keeps pacing her car… Soon the terrific pursuit ended but it turned out soon that it was only a prologue to more dramatic close encounter… Read the unique relation about one of the most intriguing Polish UFO sightings in 2007.

I. FOREWORD

Is there anything like the doorstep of understanding? Phenomena exceeding beyond it cannot be described in our language what is certified in many relations concerning close encounters with UFOs and ET beings. We can only speculate about odd motives of the unknown force standing behind them. Story of Mrs. Joanna from Dabrowa Gornicza tells about the aforementioned frontier and desires to find out what is hidden on the opposite side. Dabrowa Gornicza is a industrial city in Silesian region with nearly 130.000 inhabitants, forming the eastern part of Upper-Silesian Industrial Region (GOP). We would like to present here a story about probable UFO incident that took place there at night dividing 7th and 8th of July 2007. Some points of this story may seem to be at least unbelievable but we cannot find clues indicating that it would be a deliberate fake.

We can believe in it or not – this situation is common in regard to UFO reports. But amongst many reports from this year, this one seem to be the most unique and contentious one.

II. THE RELATION

Joanna is a very calm and even shy person what even she admits. Maybe we would never received her story but insistent thoughts about the mysterious incident were growing stronger and finally her friend persuade her to wrote a letter describing her encounter.

“Her personality doesn’t indicate that she would be so creative to make such tales” – said Janusz, Joanna’s friend to whom she called during the July incident. “There are people gifted with imagination but surely she isn’t amongst them.”

Janusz is rather a skeptic person in regard to abnormal phenomena although as he stated it was somewhat hard for him not to believe in Joanna’s tale. He concluded that at that night when the terrified woman called him stating that she saw “UFO” something might really occur. Joanna herself has never though that something of this kind may happen to her.

We received the relation of her encounter some time after the dramatic scenes from the beginning of July. On the day when the list of new world’s wonders was announced, in the center of an estate in Dabrowa Gornicza, in the close vicinity of people abodes a strange phenomenon took place.

The letter we received on August 3rd begins with these words: „I’d like to share some details pertaining an object that was accompanying me in my way home, at night from 7th to 8th August 2007. I was returning about 1 a.m. from Katowice to Dabrowa Gornicza, riding A4 highway and suddenly when I drove out of Katowice (in the densely clouded skies) I could see with the corner of my eye that some strange light is coming out of the clouds. At first I thought that it could be some laser beam but it looked differently […]. It surely was neither an airplane nor other object. I was driving further, trying not to think about paranormal phenomena but that light suddenly appeared by my car and began flying next to me. I tried not to look at it and drive as fast I could but it was chasing me. It was bright-bluish in color and resembled some ‘plasma’. There were no limits in its way of moving… It could be everywhere…”

We must frankly mention that at first Joanna’s relation didn’t revealed all the important details pertaining to the case and contained in the brief form of an letter sounded as many similar UFO related reports we receive. Before we set up to met the witness, we didn’t thought that it could be both one of the most interesting and the difficult cases we came across in this year.

III. THE INCIDENT BEGINS

32-year-old Joanna R., a company owner and an artist, lives in Dabrowa Gornicza district of Mydlice. She’s a calm and hard-working person. Her associates admit that she isn’t an individual that can be blamed of vivid fantasy or desire to be in the center of other interest. But the aforementioned sighting contained in her letter isn’t the only one “strange story” that took place in her life. There were other phenomena that can be indirectly related with her sightings such as realistic dreams that as it turned out showed usually the place where she encountered the mysterious craft.

„I don’t like visits at a gas stations with her” – stated Mr. Janusz adding that it may sound little funny. “Everytime when she approach the cash registers, it breaks down. I remember similar occurrences taking place about 6 times.”

It isn’t the last relation about failures of electrical devices in Joanna’s vicinity. As her friend noted, there were also often breakdowns of computers in their office (what can be certified by their co-workers) and other devices, as for example in incident from a gas station in Myslowice city. When Joanna approached one of the freezers on the station, doors of other ones standing there opened unexpectedly. But anecdotes about similar occurrences seem to be nothing in the light of the striking close encounter that began late at night on July 7th.

On that day, when Joanna as everyday was passing by a hall in Katowice called commonly “The Saucer” (because of its shape), she didn’t expected that it could be a symbolic indication of upcoming events.

After finishing her work, probably yet on 7th July, Mrs. Joanna started her way home from Katowice to her home in Mydlice – a district of Dabrowa Gornicza (located between the Center of this city and Bedzin city). She was driving A4 highway under the sky enveloped with thick clouds.

Suddenly the woman driving her Fiat Seicento noticed some bluish light that began to emerge out of the clouds on her right side. At first many possible explanations appeared in her thoughs – Moon, some disco lasers or plane lights... But she didn’t expected that the answer would came soon in somewhat dramatic form.

„When I was driving my car, on the right side (in not build-up area between Katowice and Sosnowiec), driving a narrowed part of road (due to roadwork), I noticed some light peering out from the gaps between cloud layer that was moving in strange manner. It was already positioned quite low but still above the clouds. I wasn’t scared but rather intrigued with it at that time. I even called my co-worker saying that I saw something strange” – she said.

Mr. Andrzej that was awoken by telephone didn’t believed in woman’s revelations. But her fascination with the phenonenom was soon replaced by fear when the object that defied any logical explanations began to chase the witness’ car.

Bluish glow enlightened the car from inside peering through panes. Object emanating it seemed to be so close that light was coming inside even by the front pane. UFO was moving by straight trajectory and keep pacing the car although Joanna began accelerating.

“Suddenly I noticed that it keeps tracking me and at that moment I feel scared. I realized that it is not any terrestrial craft but something extraordinary. I also realized that it is pursuing me. I was so scared (because I was alone on the road although there were probably few cars but in the distance) that I didn’t turned the road I usually drive home but the other one.” – Joanna said.

This violent maneuver on Y-junction could have tragic final but thanks to it the woman found herself on the road that in opposition to the way she usually use was more enlightened what made her feel more comfortable and safe. Usually she would drive through uninhabited and forested area. To her growing content, she realized that there were no more object in the sky and the whatever was the phenomenon, it was just over.

It is worth to note that during the “chase” Joanna didn’t noted any details reported in some reports concerning the alleged UFO influence on the car engine. She didn’t care to check other appliances as car radio or cell phone during the encounter. (She experienced some disturbances with the auto during the next encounter with the “craft”.)

But her contentment and relief faded soon because it is not the end of this story. The “pursuit” was only the prologue of the incident that was yet to happen on the estate, in vicinity of St. Maksymilian Kolbe church.

“When I reached the estate I saw that the object is still in the air… as it waiting for me.”

IV. UFO OVER

“It seemed that ‘they’ do know where I live” – noted Joanna. “The craft also could trace my car from above. I had an impression that since the moment when I saw it for the first time and began to gaze, this thing began interested in me as well and therefore it began pacing me. It looked as if this ‘energy’ was intelligent” – she said. And it was true. When after some time Joanna reached her estate in Dabrowa Gornicza she noticed that the mysterious craft reappeared. The block of flats in which Joanna’s apartment is located lies at the end of large housing estate. The witness decided that she reach it on foot being afraid of making her way by car in dark area in vicinity of thicket where the alternative way lies.

„I decided to look up and saw a bright blue, oval object hovering in the clouds above me. It was quite large and rotating. I was both scared and fascinated with this sight” – claims the witness.

Above a housing estate, dozens of meters from a local church, under dense layer of clouds and above power lines appeared an object, cyan in color that in total silent was rotating clockwise.

„It looked as some king of energy rotating around it axis. I couldn’t notice neither metallic structure of the ‘craft’ nor anything resembling terrestrial things known to me.”

As the witness stated, the object resembled a “craft of energy” or “of plasma”. According to relation the UFO with its size seem to be capable to cover the roof of the block. (Its measurements were also comparable to the dome of the nearby church”). The estimated diameter of the observed object was about 15 m.

The witness was observing only the bottom part of the object. Its shape can be described as round without any visible features as point lights, exhaust pipes, windows etc. Also no sounds accompanied the manifestation. Joanna stated then that the object resemble the most an UFO from Carlos Diaz photos when she was shown various pictures of alleged UFOs. Only the color was different and could be described as cyan-like.

Joanna’s fear began to fade slowly and soon was replaced by some kind of admiration for that silent and majestic “thing” causing in the woman that had never seen anything like it before both respect and calmness. The witness remained in place for a while looking at the craft as if hypnotized. Her attitude concerning the event and breathtaking sight she was witnessing was constantly changing. After short admiration and fascination happened something that restored fear and “high-strangeness” of the entire situation.

Before I introduce the next chapter of her story that now takes more dramatic course, it is worth to point at some detail that seems to be somewhat unnatural ever for Joanna. It turned out since she had noticed the bluish light she began to feel strong urge to go home. What’s unnatural in it? – we can ask. It is normal that under similar circumstances everyone will react in this way. Besides Joanna noticed that there were something unnatural in that urge to that point that her will was influenced by some “strange” factor. It is also strange due to the further part of her story.

V. THE FIERY RAIN

When she was standing and gazing at a rotating object after some minutes her close encounter entered in the next, spectacular stage. Bewildered Joanna unexpectedly noticed that some golden objects began to emerge from the main round “craft” and the sight reminded a fiery rain taking place in total silence.

“I can compare it to stars. At first they emerged quickly out of the object and then began to fall down. It seemed that they descend toward the blocks but the most surely to the nearby meadows. It was hard from my point to trace the flight path of objects that became more and more brighter while descending. Therefore I fled away. They surely weren’t meteorites. Those orbs as well as the bright object remained completely silent.

Trying to reach home, Joanna rushed toward it realizing in the same time that some of star-like objects are in quite close vicinity and seemed to encircle her. They resembled spheres emanating golden light. All of a sudden one of them appeared centrally over block Joanna lives in.

Her fear was at its peak. Bewildered and desperate woman tried to fight off fear and predominant as if unnatural urge drawing her home despite of terrific spectacle of golden objects that seem to be monitoring her.

Streets were empty. Only a drunk young man was seen nearby. In his shelter on a parking lot there was a guard. (We contacted one of guards and asked for any possible details from that night, we received no answer). Still we don’t know if they, or other inhabitants see something.

Instinct caused that Joanna began to retreat and reach her car… in order to drive home through the area she rejected to pass on the previous occasion – the aforementioned thicket. Joanna started the engine and soon turned left at the nearby junction.

VI. THE ESCAPE

At a certain point on a dark road Joanna experienced something as „deja-vu”. Looking at golden objects hovering over her home she felt „another seeing of a movie in which she plays the main role”. It is not clear whether this inner instinct or maybe fear acted then. Joanna decided to flee from the area and while she was moving back with her car, she noticed its strange behavior. (Although it is not clear if the car reaction was caused with her nervousness or other factor. The car seemed to be “pull back”.). She soon left Mydlice looking for shelter. It was about 2 a.m.

Piotr Cielebias: You have mentioned the strange feeling urging you to came home, haven’t you?

Joanna R.: Yes, it was overwhelming.

PC: Who was present at that time at home?

JR: My mother.

PC: Does she remember anything unusual from that night?

JR: My Mom was surely asleep. I forgot to call her then. That object gave impression of its energetic nature. For a moment I thought that it was some strange phenomenon but not UFO. I even thought about some “wormhole” or “interdimensional gate”…

Panicked and bewildered woman soon reached house of her friend, Mr. Piotr. Calling him she asked him to wait at the entrance. Already in his house she related to him the dramatic story and in panic order to close all the windows.

“At that nigh I fled to the Center and lost the UFO from sight I began calling to my old friend and he wake up. I wanted to hid somewhere and drive to him. He is a witness of my behavior just after the sighting. He states that he has never seen me such frightened. He believed that something must really happen. I ordered him to close the window. Then I approached it to check if they are still somewhere. At first he thought that I’m raving and he didn’t know how to react. Then he realized that he had never seen me before acting in similar way and that indeed I saw something extraordinary.”

VII. THE SECOND SIGHTING (?) AND OTHER MATTERS

In the nigh, two days after the first sighting, Joanna allegedly came cross a similar object that was hovering at high altitude over her home. It isn’t sure whether it was caused with sensitization or fatigue since Joanna stated that the July incident had very strong effect on her and for the following few weeks. She got problems with sleep and common activities also at her work caused by shock. When we visited her in Dabrowa Gornicza she was still reacting very lively in regard to July sighting.

“Two days later after the first encounter I was on the balcony of my apartment. The cloud layer was dense but I’m sure that I have seen the same thing. I perceived bluish light very high in the air. Then I went in and close window.”

The witness living on the 5th floor saw something but she ascertain that she was still very stirred and bewildered with previous sighting. Joanna’s mother is a disabled person. She didn’t remember any unusual occurrences from the night when her daughter saw the “craft” because she was asleep. At first she didn’t believe in her daughter’s revelation.

“On the second occasion I took my mother to the balcony but the object was barely seen. Anyway I showed it to my mum and she affirmed that she could see it but she completely doesn’t believe in such phenomena and she stated that I saw a satellite or weather phenomenon.” What would happened if Joanna didn’t left the area? This question is devoid of answer as well as that pertaining the nature of the mysterious objects, both the main one and star-like probes that seemed to track Joanna’s way. It is very hard to guess the real nature of this close encounter.

VIII. THE END Collecting data do this material, interviewing Joanna and indirect witnesses we managed to find out an unique although contentious story – maybe only one episode of similar nature in Mrs. Joanna’s life. We are in touch with the woman, trying to familiarize her with the nature of similar cases and discovering other out of the ordinary facts from her life, both from before and after the July incident.

Regarding this story from the skeptical way we must consider possibility of confusing the alleged UFO seen by Joanna with natural phenomena or human-made crafts. Joanna from her side also considered all possible explanations, excluding at first lights from discothèque or landing aircraft. Aspect as de facto intelligent behavior of the object that then reappeared in vicinity of woman’s house, his maneuvering capabilities proven during the flight over the highway, silent rotating around his axis as well as phenomenon of golden spheres (probes?) prompt to dismiss the possibility that it was just a complex of inaccurate observations of common things. Doubt can be also cast on weather phenomenon and optical illusion. Another important fact is that during the close encounter the woman tried to notify about her strange situation her friends, both by calling and writing them text messages.

The case is still opened and the final explanation cannot be presented. It is possible that some other observers exist and efforts are made to find them, although it wouldn’t be easy in our country where most of people either reject their experiences or are afraid of being ridiculed. We hope that “someone else had to see it” as Joanna stated.

There is predominating feeling that Joanna’s story isn’t only mere fantasy because something caused her reaction and influenced on her psychical and physical state. This effect was so strong that for several weeks after the sightings the woman cannot manage with it.
