On November 14, 2006 at approximately 7:27 PM in Lencouacq (Landes Region) a
pristine bright object moved horizontally from North to South at a very high
speed with no noise whatsoever. Altitude was probably around 40 – 50 meters
high. It was flying fast on the top of the pine trees forest.
Night was very clear, moon was not present and there were no airplanes flying at the moment. I am an astronomy aficionado and at the beginning it looked like a shooting star with the difference that it was traveling slower than a shooting star with a perfect and consistent horizontal movement and with an accelerating speed toward the end of the few seconds of the observation. The intensity of the bright light didn’t fade during the observation. I was the only witness at the moment. Observation lasted between 4 and 5 seconds. Name withheld by request
