Sighting Report & Photographs from Shiocton, Wisconsin-
06-07-Friday evening almost 9:00 PM CST I was out cleaning my pool. I had looked into the sky as it was just getting dark, stormy, and very cloudy. Jay, a friend of mine and my sister's, was with me.
Suddenly I saw out of the corner of my eye a very bright light come out of nowhere.
I thought it was the planet Venus. I told Jay look at that, and pointed to the area of the sky where I saw the star. Jay looked up and as he did this object shot to the right, then straight up and right back where it was in a split second. "Did you see that?" he said. I replied "Oh yes, that was awesome."
We called the girls over and told them what we had seen. They looked up "Yeah, so? a star." Then they started laughing, cracking jokes at us. About the time they were getting their kicks, the object started moving again. "Not so funny now is it?" I asked.
Both of them as well as Jay and I began freaking out as this object was moving left to right. It was almost as if it was messing with us. I ran at this point and grabbed our binoculars 75X power, zooming in on the object. It still looked like a star. Brighter than I had ever seen and on this side of the clouds.
As I was watching the object it suddenly split in two, I was ecstatic. I asked did you guys see that. They replied yes. As I passed the binoculars around we all agreed it had split into two stars.
That is when I ran back in the house and grabbed our Sony 5.1 mega pixel 3x digital cam.
I snapped off 12-15 pics. All of these pictures I saw on the screen before I snapped the pictures.
When I took the Cam into download the photos onto my hard drive I was in AWE.
None of the photos looked anything like what we saw when shooting the pictures. Some of the photos have been enlarged to give a better viewing of the photos.
06-14-Something weird is happening here. Tonight About 10:30 PM I went out to star gaze. Seeing a couple of objects in the sky that were moving got my attention. I got photos again. You need to zoom in on these but what I captured is awesome.
