I had a very peculiar sighting last night. A red cylindrical object suddenly appeared in front of me. Here's the particulars:

9:38 PM - As I was facing Northeast, an object literally appeared right before my eyes. This object looked at first to be a glowing red cylinder, but made of two lights, one on top of the other. I had just begun setting up for the night and didn't have my camcorder on the tripod yet when this object appeared.

I managed to get it on film and turned the camcorder on Night Shot for a few minutes to see if I could get a better view of the object in Infrared. The object disappeared behind the treeline for a few minutes before reappearing briefly and going behind Lyons Bald Mountain.
