This sighting has been found to be an outright hoax. The gentleman thought he would get away with it, but he didn't.

The truth is what we are after, and in this case, the truth is we took the man's word, but he lied to us.

Back yard sphere videotaped in San Antonio, Texas
UFO

I didn't used to believe in UFOs, but last night I saw one and was lucky enough to capture it on video. I bought a digi cam a little while ago, and I went outside in the middle of the night last night to shoot some footage of a bike under harsh illumination. but when I turned the light on, I noticed that there was a faintly glowing spherical craft about two and a half feet in diameter sitting in the yard.

It scared the hell out of me, and I jumped back and fell over, but I managed to keep the camera on it as it flew away. It didn't make any sort of noise, and it accelerated amazingly fast. I did a little research, and saw some credible-looking videos of spherical lights zooming around in the sky. I think this might have been one of those.

A few words about the URL: I make short animated art film. That is why the site is called grinning idiot films- that's where my web space is, so that's where the video is. It's not a joke video site, as some people have seemed to believe (apparently without actually visiting it ) for proof go to www.grinningidiotfilms.com Camera is a Canon powershot s-30 digital still cam. It can take up to a minute of 320x240 AVI video at 15 frames per second.

The time was about 3 in the morning, I don't remember the date but I will look it up and find out when I get back home. I think it was about a week and a half ago.

It was warm and humid out, maybe eighty degrees.

It was east of me and about six feet away at first.

It rose maybe fifteen feet before zipping off to the north at about a forty-five degree angle. It traveled at a walking pace up to about fifteen feet but after that it accelerated from that speed to what must have been a thousand or more miles per hour in about a second, all without any type of noise or exhaust or anything.

Total viewing time couldn't have been more than about seven seconds.

No physical sensations of any kind afterward; I'm sure it wasn't man-made though. Either that or our technology is way more advanced than we're led to believe.

NOTE: Video has been run through one time at regular speed, and then at 50% speed.
