Hovering Triangle UFO Witnessed over Independence, Missouri

Independence, Missouri - 10-04-11
Duration: 4 to 5 minutes
Hovering triangular craft with many lights seen in the night sky.
I am a 56-year-old metalsmith, mother and grandmother. I have some college education, but no degrees.
I have lived in all over the USA, but am currently residing in the area I was born in, Missouri.
At around 8:00 pm, I was driving home from a day of running errands. As I drove down the street I live on, I glanced down another street that angles off at a Y intersection.
Above our neighborhood clubhouse, I saw a mass of lights that appeared to be stationary and about 200 to 500 feet above the building.
I stopped my car, backed up a few feet and turned down that street to see what it was. Of course I was thinking, 'It's a UFO!' 'No, it can't be.' 'Oh my gosh, it's a space ship!'
I drove slowly as I looked at the mass of lights until I got almost directly under it. I could see the whole underside of the craft and it was enormous!
I could see that it was a triangle-shaped craft with lights running parallel to the edges, but about a foot away from them.
The underside was slightly rounded and completely smooth. I couldn't see any openings or interruptions in its smooth, grey-black metallic surface.
The lights were white, orange, red, green and blue and very bright. They weren't inset, nor did they protrude.
They seemed to be a part of the underneath, which appeared to be almost fluid, like mercury.
As I slowed down to a stop in the middle of the street, it suddenly rotated and then moved up and across the street at an angle. It was moving slowly enough that I could almost keep up with it, but I lost sight of it as I turned the corner.
Just past the corner there was a small group of people running toward the next corner. One of the men yelled to me, "Did you see it?" I answered, "Yes!" He replied, "That was a freakin' spaceship!"
After slowing down at the stop sign, I followed the streets around toward my house and, as I turned back onto my street, I saw that it was moving right in front of me. It was then that I realized that my heart was pounding so hard that I could actually hear it.
Then I noticed that the craft was going straight toward my house, but, for some reason, I wasn't afraid. I was in awe of its enormous size and the fact that I was witnessing something so spectacular!
As I approached my house, I realized that it had stopped again, this time just past my house, as if it was waiting for me.
I pulled into the driveway and started honking the horn for my daughter to come outside and see it. I jumped out of the car, and just as I was turning to run inside, it rotated and then darted over the trees, up and away so fast that it disappeared completely within a second.
I was almost to the front door when I realized that I forgot to turn the car off or even shut the door. My purse was still inside it, so I ran back, gathered my things, turned the engine off and ran inside to tell my daughter.
I'm still not sure if she believed me, even though my heart was still pounding really fast and hard and I was talking so fast she could barely understand me.
I went back outside to see if the other people who saw it were still heading down toward my house, but they were gone.
I couldn't find them and I don't know which house they lived in or if they were even neighbors or visitors. I couldn't imagine going door to door asking if anyone had seen the UFO. I did ask my immediate neighbors, but they were either gone or not looking outside at the time it appeared.
I later watched the local news but there was no mention of it.
It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life! It was not any kind of aircraft I have ever seen. I have been online reading about new aircraft designs all day and can't find anything that looks in any way like what I saw.
I also can't find any articles about aircraft that have been developed to move the way this space craft did; nothing that rotates before it moves away or hovers, even though it was as big as three large houses.
It was totally silent and very fluid in its movements. It really doesn't matter to me if anyone else believes that I saw a UFO, because I know what I saw and it wasn't of this earth.
As I think back about the incident, I realize that I was drawn to it in a strange way. The fear I expected to have was non-existent and was replaced by excitement and awe.
I almost didn't have a choice of whether I drove away from it or straight toward it and, when it was gone, I somehow knew it wasn't coming back anytime soon.
I didn't even think about driving around looking for it to appear somewhere else because I just knew it was gone. I had seen what I was supposed to see. It had fulfilled its mission.
Those were the feelings it left me with. But why did I need to see it? What happened to the other people I spoke to?
They ran about a half mile from where I first saw them and yet, when I went back outside less than a minute later, they were gone. Where did they go?
Isn't it human nature to stand around talking about something so unusual? Yet none of this seemed strange to me two nights ago when it happened. This has changed me forever.
Even though I've always believed there is life on other planets, this made it much more real than I could have imagined!
Unknown Object Seen from Cruise Ship in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia, Canada - 10-13-11
Our ship, the Carnival Glory had left Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and was on its way back to New York City.
We had just finished dinner and went to our cabin, which had a balcony on the starboard side of the ship on deck 9.
I went out onto the balcony to have a smoke and it was pretty stormy. I couldn't see anything except the sea and the misty dark sky.
All of a sudden, a well defined pill-shaped object with a dull glow went in a perfectly straight line from the front of the ship to the back.
When it reached the back it took a sudden turn downward and I thought it was going to go into the sea, but instead it curved around the back of the ship.
This only took about 10 seconds from start to finish. I couldn't believe what I saw and debated whether or not I should report it.
I stayed out on the balcony for about twenty more minutes hoping it would return, but it never did. I told my wife, but did not report it to the ship's crew because I thought they would think I was some kind of a nut.
I currently live in Las Vegas just 90 miles from Area 51 and I have never seen anything like this before.
I want to be clear that it didn't look metallic. It was closer to being some kind of dull light or energy, but shaped like a pill with crisp edges.
I just wish someone else would have filed a report and I could have backed up their report.
Open Your Eyes - Evidence of Alien Visitations is Around Us

“If aliens of advanced civilizations from outer space had really visited our planet thousands of years ago,” asked the skeptics, “why haven’t they left any evidence of their stay here?”
True enough! That’s why it is so difficult to convince skeptics and orthodox scientists that they had, in fact, been here before. But the indirect proofs are all around us.
It’s just that scientists fail or refuse to recognize them.
In February 1971, American astronaut Edgar Mitchell, on board the Apollo 14 spaceship bound for the moon, observed that there was another spacecraft following them. He radioed NASA if the other spacecraft was theirs or Russia’s.
It was neither American nor Russian, came the reply, but no one could say anything more about it. The mysterious spacecraft followed the Apollo 14 from earth to the moon, but no mention of it came from NASA.
News blackout! That’s what happens to most UFO sightings or to anything that does not fall within traditional rational or scientific paradigms.
UFO encounters have been classified under the following four categories:
1. Close Encounters of the First Kind: Seeing unidentified flying objects in the sky from afar.
2. Close Encounters of the Second Kind: Seeing a UFO land on earth.
3. Close Encounters of the Third Kind: Actual or personal contact with an alien being from outer space.
4. Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind: Being taken into the alien’s spacecraft, either through invitation (like in the case of George Adamski in the 1950s) or through abduction or force (like in the case of Betty and Barney Hill in 1961).
None of the above types of encounters have ever been admitted by the United States or any other government official anywhere in the world.
When a strange spacecraft crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947, the US military at once came, cordoned off the area and declared that what crashed was nothing more than an experimental weather balloon.
However, rumors began to slowly filter out from witnesses that there were three alien beings in that spacecraft; two had died but one was still alive.
The alien crew and the debris left by the crash were hauled off to a secret military base, called Area 51, which the military insisted never existed.
According to some Ufologists, the military’s medical personnel conducted an autopsy on the dead aliens, and the one who was alive was made a prisoner.
It was said the alien spoke all known languages in the world and had very advanced knowledge of space science and technology unknown to earthlings.
It was theorized that the sudden advance in our modern technology, from fiber optics to computers, was a result of that contact with the alien.
Where he—or it—is now, if in fact he existed, no one knows, and those who knew were not allowed to talk about it. So the speculation continues up to now.
But there’s evidence of alien contacts from other sources. A certain gold artifact found in Columbia, originally thought to be an ancient religious symbol, was proven to be a small-scale model of an airplane, which flew when tested in a wind tunnel. Another artifact found in the Middle East turned out to be a primitive form of battery.
In Nazca, Peru, and elsewhere, huge drawings of animals (spider, horse) were discovered which can only be seen from an aircraft flying above them. But these drawings were known to have existed thousands of years ago. Who then drew them and why?
There are huge monoliths and structures, such as the pyramids in Egypt and Mexico, the Stonehenge in England and the huge statues of heads at Easter Island, which could not have been built except by people with exact knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, architecture and engineering, disciplines which did not yet exist at the time.
Modern archeologists say primitive tools and equipment at their disposal couldn’t duplicate such structures!
In Mexico, Guatemala and the Yucatan, there lived the Mayan people with extraordinary knowledge of mathematics and the movements of the planets, stars and constellations. They knew about solar flares, eclipses and the alignment of planets.
They had a calendar that calculated events spanning 26,000 years. Who taught them all these things?
The scholar and researcher Zecharia Sitchin, in his book “The 12th Planet,” presented evidence from ancient Sumerian legends and cuneiform writings that assert that there were contacts with alien beings whom they considered to be gods. These beings came from the planet Nibiru.
In Mali, Africa, the Dogon Tribe celebrates the coming of the star Sirius every 50 years. This star is not visible to the human eye and was unknown to astronomers until the discovery of the telescope.
They knew its exact path in the sky as well as its size and density. How did they get such knowledge? Who taught these things to them?
The elders of the Dogon tribe say that long, long ago, there appeared before them a group of beings from the sky. Such beings were amphibious. They called them Nommos.
These alien beings taught them everything about the heavenly bodies. Were they hallucinating?
As Roy Stemman said in his book “Visitors from Outer Space,” “Even if every flying saucer so far can be proved to be more than misidentification, hallucination or deliberate fabrication, the next one may be for real.”
In March 1979, Pat Eudy was driving home when he saw a bright light in the sky, after which his memory went blank, leaving a "missing time" of about three hours.
A session with a psychologist allowed Eudy to reconstruct what happened. "[I remember being on] board (a UFO) and seeing an astronaut in a suit," Eudy said. The being stood about 5 feet tall..."
Eudy asked a lot of questions about how the craft worked, and he was strapped to a chair where possible tests were performed. - MUFON UFO Journal - May 1982.
"I couldn't get it off my mind, I wanted to make sure... "
A two-hour session with Winston-Salem psychologist Richard Pinneau early this past summer unlocked a mystery that had troubled Pat Eudy for more than two years.
Eudy had been unable to account for approximately three hours of a night in March 1979. He thought he might have had a close encounter of the third kind - a face-to-face meeting, inside a UFO, with a being not from this planet.
But Eudy, 46, a salesman for Callaway Cadillac-Oldsmobile Inc. In Monroe, wasn't sure. "I just couldn't get it off of my mind," he gaid. "It just kept coming back. I wanted to make sure..."'
More than two years passed before Eudy wrote to a civilian UFO research center in Ohio, which referred Wadesboro UFO investigator Henry Morton to him.
Morton interviewed Eudy and suggested he speak with Pinneau, who allowed Eudy to become relaxed and recall the rest of his memories of that night.
HERE'S WHAT Eudy remembered before and after the three-hour gap in his recollections:
After visiting a friend in Locust, with whom he drank two beers, Eudy headed for the home he shares with his mother, Gay Eudy, on U.S. 601 South.
"I left at 3 a.m. and started down that back road heading toward the Rocky River steel bridge," he said. "I've always looked at the stars and I saw a bright light in the sky..,"
Eudy's memory went blank at this point. The next thing he remembered, without Pinneau's aid, was driving south on Morgan Mill Road, at G. B. Helms' store, en route home.
He didn't recall how he'd traveled from the bridge, which connects Sikes Mill Road with Stanly County, to the store, a distance of about eight miles. Eudy arrived home about 6:20 a.m. "My eyes were just burning like anything," he said. "My skin had a sensation of stinging and itching."
The pain went away after several days. Eudy said he didn't seek medical aid, but treated his fingers and ankles with rubbing alcohol and lotion. He also put drops in his eyes to ease the discomfort.
His session with Pinneau has allowed Eudy to reconstruct some of what happened to him early that morning.
"The only thing I remember is being on board (a UFO) and seeing an astronaut in a suit," Eudy said. The being stood about 5 feet tall, and had two arms and two legs. Eudy said the being's face was covered by a dark-colored visor. "The person never spoke a word," he said.
He remembers he was first in a well-lit room. Both the room and the being's suit were a light, metallic color, Eudy said. He believes the craft was oval-shaped.
"The inside was designed like a cockpit of a plane," he said. "I wanted to know how it operated." Eudy now remembers asking a lot of questions about how the craft worked.
After a few minutes in the first room, Eudy was taken into a second room, which was darker than the first. "I was scared," he said. "I was put in a chair like a doctor's chair and strapped down. I think (he was) running tests on me."
Pain in his fingers afterward made Eudy speculate the being took a blood sample from him for analysis.
In retrospect, Eudy believes the craft was propelled by some form of magnetism, and that it was able to pick up his car and move it. He said he still doesn't remember crossing the bridge over the Rocky River or entering or leaving the UFO.
He feels the relaxation process he underwent was a beneficial experience. "It brought back things I thought were true, and it eased my mind because I knew that I wasn't just dreaming up stuff." Eudy hasn't told many people about the experience or about his session with Pinneau.
Part of the reason for his relative silence has been his job as a salesman. "You don't want to put youself in a position where people are skeptical of you," he said.
EUDY SAID he initially believed he should not become involved in the debate as to whether UFOs exist. Although he believed in them before that night, he acknowledged that many people still don't believe in them.
"Some people just don't believe they're other (beings) out there," he said.
But a concern that people who have seen UFOs might be inhibited from speaking up led Eudy to change his mind and agree to talk to The Enquirer-Journal about his experience.
"They're other people who've seen things and maybe now they'll step forward and tell it like it is," he said. - Henry Welles - Monroe Enquirer-Journal (Monroe, North Carolina), 9/27/81.

Some time around 1995, I and a teacher I was dating came out of the diner in Giddings, Texas, and headed east on HW 290.
We noticed a bright light in the distance, towards Houston, under the cloud cover and it resembled a train light.
We laughed since we had seen a UFO abduction movie and noted the time, 3:15 AM.
As we drove out approximately 10 miles towards Ledbetter, HW 180 I believe, we noticed that it was not a plane and was really about 5 miles north on HW 180 and 5 miles east of 180.
We turned north on 180 and started getting pretty nervous, it appeared to be hovering and the light was very bright and it was apparent that it was a craft.
We got home, 5 miles or so north on 180 and as I got out of the truck to get the gate, my girl yelled, "Look, it's moving," and I saw it move at a high rate of speed at 90 and 45 degree angles, hundreds of miles an hour, and return to its original position.
I got my binoculars and it was a cigar-shaped craft with triangle-shaped features on the bottom and top of the craft.
We drove out the front gate, under trees, and it was gone when we got to 180. This was approximately 3:35 AM.
The area it was over was towards Sommerville Lake, but exactly over pasture land that was declared a federal oil reserve, hmm?.
So, we took off to go look at the area, but saw nothing. I went to the pay phone at Somerville Lake entrance and called Lee County Sheriff's Department, and told them who I was (I worked in county law enforcement also, juvenile) and they said,"Hey, there is a drunk Mexican on HW 290 east of FM 180 a mile or so, and he is claiming that a UFO came from the north and ran him off the road and overturned his truck.
But, call the next county over, Burleson County, and ask them." Then they said that they see this all the time, and said I should report it.
I called Burleson County, and they said that they saw UFOs all the time and gave me MUFON's number and said that the exact place of the overturned truck was another county, Washington, which I called.
They said the same thing, "We see that stuff over Somerville Lake all the time, report it." I got the exact location of the truck and drove out there.
When we pulled up, and there was a pickup truck overturned on the northside of HW 290, a mile or so east of 180 with a trooper there, and he had a Mexican national handcuffed in the back.
I showed him my badge, told him the story, and asked to speak to the guy in the car.
He walked back to his car, spoke to the man, then came back to me and said, "He is a Mexican state police officer and does not want to talk to you, he said that this happens all the time in Mexico and he will get fired if he speaks about it."
The trooper said they got the call at about 3:37 AM, 2 minutes AFTER we lost sight of the object.
So, we went home, got up, and agreed that we had to investigate.
We headed south on FM 180 to HW 290, and headed east towards Houston. We stopped in at the next 5 stores, mostly antique stores, maybe a gas station, and asked them if they had seen any UFOs around.
4 of 5 people said yes. One pulled out a piece of paper, drew a cigar with triangles on top and bottom with one red light on top.
I showed her my drawing and it was exactly the same, but had two red lights. She said, and the 3 others did also, that they saw it towards Sommerville Lake "all the time."
One other lady, I believe in either Burton or Carmine, Carmine I'm thinking, said that she had a friend whose husband was the fire chief and she saw them driving a flat bed with a lot of dead pigs in it.
She asked what happened and the wife said that they woke up and found the pigs with burnt off genitals.
I called the jail then to bail the man out that overturned his truck and they said that they let him go since he was not legally drunk!
But, they gave me the name of the man that got him out and it was a man that ran an auto parts store, dang, can't remember exactly where, but towards Brenham, maybe in Brenham.
So, we drove there and asked him if he would call his cousin I believe, and he said that he did not want to talk to anyone, period, since he might get in trouble.
Also, I think that we talked to the people at the Sommerville Lake store and I think, I remember them saying they saw it.
Another law enforcement officer had laughed at me, teasing me, but called me back in a year or so and said, "I'm sorry for teasing you, I was headed back from Houston to Giddings, and saw A UFO off HW 290 near where you saw it."
Anyone near this area could take these steps to investigate:
1. Drive HW 290 from Giddings to Brenham and stop into each antique store, gas station and cafe and ask about seeing stuff over Sommerville Lake.
2. Look up the police reports, if they are there, and document the name, I did have the info, but it has been too long.
3. Check out the auto parts stores towards Brenham and ask about the person that works there with a cousin who is a trooper in Mexico.
4. Drive the Sommerville Lake, especially from FM 180 north past the lake, and head east towards Sommerville and ask around.
5. Interview Lee county, Burleson and Washington county troopers, deputies and other county workers.
A UFO apparently buzzes an airliner in Japan in this extraordinary video. The sighting occurred on October 23, 2004, and involved Japanese Airlines flight 1512.
The videographer who took the film, when lowering his camera, was not able to see the object with the naked eye. None of the flight crew saw anything out of the ordinary at the time the unknown object moved through the sky.
However, when looking through his lens finder again, he could clearly see the UFO. In other words, the UFO was only captured by the camera, yet was not visible to the unaided human eye.
Is this possible? Apparently it is, according to the evidence shown in this video clip from the UFO Hunters on the History Channel.
One thing that is very important about the facts in this case is that they can and may apply to other UFO sightings, photographs and video.
