Several Reports of UFOs in Virginia
UFO Depiction
Published: 3:17 AM 12/27/2013

Richmond, Virginia - 12-26-13

It was the day after Christmas and the dark night had fallen as I was strolling down my street and arriving in front of my house at the very end of my daily exercise walk.

My house lies near the top of a hill and I’m facing northeast with an unobstructed view of the sky above Richmond, Virginia.

Suddenly, I see a glowing object approximately 45 degrees above the horizon and descending from south-to-north at an approximate 70-degree angle of trajectory.

What first caught my eye and got my attention was the objects extreme speed, much faster than a manmade airplane! My brain first thought "meteorite" but as I continued to watch I quickly dismissed the "meteorite" theory because the UFOs size, shape, and color were totally inconsistent with all of the meteorites that I’ve ever seen during my nearly 54 years on this planet.

The UFO had a whitish-orange glow, but solid with no tail, it appeared to be at least three to four times larger than the usual meteorite, and the UFO appeared to be disc or oval-shaped.

By this point, my mind definitely had switched to the "extraterrestrial vehicle" hypothesis and as I really began to focus my consciousness on the object the UFO suddenly blinked out and disappeared from view, leaving me with the impression that the E.T. pilots telepathically "knew" that they were under surveillance by someone on the ground.

I immediately checked my cell phone for the time (6:14 p.m. EST) and took mental note of the direction, distance (1-2 miles away) altitude (300-400 feet), and heading of the UFO that I had just seen.

Then rather than going directly into my house I opted to stand in the street for another couple of more minutes scanning the heavens in hopes of getting another glimpse of an ET craft.

Note: I have noticed how other independent eyewitnesses in the greater Richmond area have submitted at least four other UFO reports to MUFON this month, including a report where someone videoed a large glowing UFO sphere (orb) that was hovering and maneuvering silently over Pocahontas State Park on Dec. 2, 2013 (MUFON case 52571).

Furthermore, a friend of mine who lives in a community behind the park had a helicopter hovering and flying low over his house and neighborhood (very unusual) in the same general time frame.

In addition, another friend of mine in the same county photographed several heavily-armed AH-64 Apache attack helicopters flying in battle formation extremely low over a nearby church, and the choppers were coming from the direction of Pocahontas State Park and heading northwest toward the City of Richmond.

The Apaches were seen at 6:02 p.m. during rush hour on a Friday. These choppers were very unusual for this area and we believe they may have been hunting or monitoring UFOs.

Last but not least and for the record, the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) has been inundated recently with a historically high number of UFO reports with many witnesses across the U.S. and Canada reporting silent orange UFO spheres and orbs.

Witness Describes 'A-frame-shaped' Object over Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico
UFO Depiction
Published: 2:38 AM 12/23/2013

Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico - 12-12-13

My son and I saw what we believe to have been 2 UFOs! My second sighting here now!

He called me outside at sunset to look; there were two stationary very large lights in the sky, where the evening star shows up, but later.

There were jets also, because their contrails were orange in the setting sun. One of the lights just straight up disappeared while I was looking at them.

So, I went to get some binoculars... and what I saw is hard to describe. It looked at first like an A-frame shaped craft; looked like it was likely metallic since that’s what color it looked like.

Then, as I was watching it, it looked like a plane or jet maybe, not sure, with contrails coming down from the wings giving it that a shape, but if they were contrails how come they were not lit up orange like the jets flying across the sky?

And it did not move at all, it stayed in the same place for about 15 or 20 minutes. Then, the "contrail" things disappeared and a few seconds later, so did the craft.

We were standing on my front porch in Ranchos de Taos, NM at the time these were observed. The lights were so large and stationary; it was hard to miss them.

My son and I both instantly felt these were UFOs. The object that I observed through the binoculars was really different. I could draw a sketch if you would like.

Unknown Flying Object Vanishes in New Mexico Skies
UFO Depiction
Published: 3:43 AM 12/27/2013

Santa Fe, New Mexico - 12-26-13

I was driving south on the way to work along Highway 14 and was about an eighth of a mile north of the road that leads to the Santa Fe County Adult Correctional Facility.

I noticed something bright in the corner of the windshield and focused on it. It was a hovering reflective or otherwise bright thing hanging in the air at least 600 feet above the ground at least a half mile directly south of the Correctional Facility.

My initial impression was that it was an airplane. But it was not moving at any noticeable difference with respect to the ground. Plus, there were no contrails behind it, and it would have been flying too low for a commercial jet.

My next thought was that it was a star. But it was clearly daytime, no other stars were apparent.

As these thoughts were occurring, the object remained hanging in the air, and I kept driving, hopefully to get a better look. My internal monologue was a plea to the craft to let me know it better, but to no avail.

After approximately 10 seconds, it vanished without movement in the span of 3 seconds. No objects obscured it, as I had been driving down the same straight stretch of highway the entire time.

The only possible explanation for the fading of the object was either it was moving directly away from me, or it somehow cloaked or otherwise became invisible.

It might be some distant supernova, but after this testimony I will see if anything like that has happened while being visible in daylight.

Afterwards I thought that it was a reflection from dirt on my windshield. But as my car regularly shook and bounced the light remained steady, plus I was focusing through my windshield at the object.

I felt happy that I could witness such a bizarre event, but sad that I did not have a camera ready to witness the event.

Considering the object was just some extremely reflective, distant point in the sky, it isn’t a huge loss, I guess.

Object Changes Course, Accelerates in Skies of Pennsylvania
UFO Depiction
Published: 2:45 AM 12/25/2013

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - 12-24-13

Sitting in my house working on my laptop, I glanced up and saw a yellow ball of fire slowly moving across the sky.

I pointed it out to my 5-year-old, and we both ran outside to get a better look.

At first I thought it was a low-flying airplane with an engine on fire, but there were not any lights and it was completely silent.

I ran back in the house to grab my video camera and began filming the object. Several seconds later, the object changed course from southeast to due East, and accelerated until it disappeared.

I cannot think of any legitimate object that would glow like a ball of fire, slowly across the sky then suddenly change course and accelerate at such a high rate of speed.

Archived Case of the Week

Arrowhead UFO Sighting, Gulf of Mexico, 1969
Although Arrowhead UFOs are not the most common of UFO shapes sighted, this sighting was even more unusual because of its duration. The craft was seen by the entire crew of the Oil Tanker "British Grenadier" for exactly 3 days!

The event occurred around April/May 1969 while the "British Grenadier" was sailing through the Gulf of Mexico. The UFO appeared directly above the ship at exactly noon on the first day. It just seemed to appear as nobody saw it arrive and it remained above the ship for the next 3 days.

According to reports the craft was approximately 1 mile above the ship and dark blue in colour during the day. At night it appeared as a silvery light. The weather conditions were good at the time, with a clear sky and calm seas.

On the first day of its arrival (one minute after midnight), the ships engines suddenly stopped and only emergency lighting and steering were available. The crew managed to restart the engines, which took some time as all the pumps had to be shut down and restarted manually.

The second day saw all the food storage refridgerators closed down and no reason for this event could be found.

On the third day at 11.45 pm one of the crew noticed that the lights were out in the ships air conditioning room and a door leading to the crews accomodation was opened. The engineer passed through the door to investigate and spoke to two firemen. But the next day the same door was found welded shut!

Apparently, the door had been welded before the ship left dock (because of a fault), but the door was definitely open for the engineer to have walked through it.

A few minutes after this event the engines stopped again, leaving just emergency lighting and steering (again one minute after midnight!). They were restarted once more, but later it was discovered that the starter motor for the emergency diesel generator had been dismantled.

All the parts of the generator were neatly placed by the machine as if someone had examined it.

At exactly noon on the third day the craft vanished in the same manner as it had appeared.

Although all these events were recorded in the ships log, this is the first time (to our knowledge) that this event has been published. We would be interested in hearing from any of the crew that were aboard the BP Oil Tanker "British Grenadier" at this time, in order to obtain more information about this sighting.

If you were there and would like to write to us, please send an email to: Grenadier@profindpages.com source:
