My wife and I were in the backyard pool that afternoon. My wife happened to notice this white dot hovering in position in the direction of North East Las Vegas in the general direction of Nellis AFB. Our house is located in the North West area.
The object caught our attention for several minutes. We thought it could be a balloon which was hanging in the sky. However, my wife asked that if it was a balloon, how could we see it so high up in the sky? The object moved up and down left and right for several minutes before disappearing into the clouds. I have enclosed to pictures I took of the object with my digital camera. You have to look hard but it's a little white dot in the middle of the picture. It helps if you have a computer program with a zoom option.
