To promote their latest LCD-TV Philips was looking for a producion company able to make a demo movie in the highest possible quality. For this production Norvell Jefferson used the uncompressed HDRGB recording and editing facilities of BBP Digital Intermediate.
"Colors" is the first European HD production combining the Thomson Viper camera in Filmstream-mode and the Sony SRW1 portable HDCAM SR recorder. Shooting was done in Miami, USA. This demo movie was shown at the IFA 2005 in Berlin and is also used as point-of-sale video. The UFO Casebook received a still image taken from the "Colors" production from one Genadi Blay. He told us that:
"I have investigated UFOs for the last two years. I am sending snapshot taken from "Philips demo colors of Miami" 1080i HD Clip. You can see object flying at 4:11 minutes into clip for two seconds in right upper corner. " Best regards, Genadi Blay
